Neutral Spring Florals

Continuing with the floral theme for spring, I don’t seem to have much inspiration lately so I hope you guys don’t mind all the floral manicures I seem to be producing recently 🙂 Rather than the usual bright mani, I decided to do a neutral theme that is beautiful but not so much in your face if you need to tone it down a little.

I used numerous colours for this manicure but the main polish I used is Orly Prelude To A Kiss, this is such a beautiful muted orange nude, if you’re into neutral polishes this is definitely worth the splash. The polishes used to create the flowers and Leaves are: Barry M Dragon Fruit, Road Rage, Cotton and Sally Hansen I Pink I Can. I used a large dotting tool and a short thin striping brush to do these. The middle finger was done with a couple of coats of Prelude To A Kiss and then I used a long thin striping brush (dipped directly into the polish bottle, don’t overload the brush) to create the stripes. On my ring finger I purchased some Crystals which I purchased on ebay (here) I adhered the stones using IBD Builder Gel and cured them under a 32Watt UV lamp for 3 minutes. I know some of you guys may be a bit sceptical about using builder gel to adhere stones but it’s really strong hold and your crystals should stay in place until your nails grow out :)) If you’d like a seperate blog post on how I use and remove the builder gel, let me know and I’ll write one up for you guys 🙂
